IMPORTANT: use the event bulletin board to announce it, make updates on it, and report afterwards (with images, hopefully!). We check the board to update (in English and Japanese) the event schedule, press releases, and reports to the translocal BND network.
use posters, stickers, postcards to spread the word (download, print and copy; you can get postcards mailed in bulk (100-300 pieces) by writing to bndjapan(at)bndjapan.org)
use the press release to contact media people
prepare for the day　(says your BND mom): make sure you have food and (warm) drink, have flyers printed and copied, are armed with knowledge from the FAQ section, etc. If you are doing a street performance or demonstration, you're advised to register with the closest police station (it's easy, just show them a flyer and tell them where and when).
