BND Gifu will be organizing an "object exchange market" on Dec 2 11 am- 4 pm at Cafe Purana where NO money activities will take place, and nothing will be "sold". Goods will simply be exchanges. For instance, a farmer will bring her fresh vegetable -say Chinese cabbage. A local Brazilian is bringing his homemade Brazilian sweets. Say they agreed to exchange 1 Chinese cabbage to 2 Brazilian sweets, then, exchange of the items will take place.

This kind of bartering was commonly practiced in Japan up to post-war period. More so, it is still practiced in Andes in Peru. At the moment, we have fresh local veges, Brazilian, Peruvian homemade sweets, plates, cups and sources, and book stores are planned. contact for details: xcultural( A T )hotmail.co.jp
