get your students to reflect on the way they shop, for example by:
making lists of the last 10 things they bought, and checking where they
are from and by which company they are produced.
Discussing the last 10 things that they bought with a partner and answering
questions, for example, how much did they cost, how many times have you
used them/do you think you will use them, do you still like them? Will
you like/be using them in a year? Were they a good use of money? And so
on.
Sticking over/counting all the brand names they can find in the classroom
within a short time
Make a trip to your local garbage incinerator or nuclear power plant.
